FACT CHECK: What Is This Capgemini Vizag Story?

YSR Congress is shell-shocked by the humiliating mandate in the recent Elections. Falling from 151 seats to just eleven means not just rejection, it is like people of Andhra Pradesh drove away YSR Congress.

YSR Congress IT Cells and Sakshi are busy creating a Propaganda against the New Government and is trying to showcase it as a failure even though it’s been less than a month since Chandrababu Naidu took charge.

Some one of the propaganda is that Capgemini wanted to set shop in Vishakapatnam but now moved to Chennai. Sakshi published a big story about the same and the IT Cells are trying to push it.

So according to the story, Capgemini conducted a Survey of its employees asking them the choice of relocation if the company is expanded to Tier-2 cities.

Sakshi says Vizag was the Top Choice in the Survey and the YSR Congress Government held talks with Capgemini and they agreed ‘in principle‘ to setup a development centre in the Beach City.

There are many misleading factual errors in this story. It’s true the survey is conducted but the results are not published anywhere. So, Vishakapatnam being the Top Choice is Sakshi‘s Masala to this issue.

And then, there is nothing like ‘in-principle‘ agreement, in Corporate World, only an MOU means progress. The company can even pull out of an MOU. But MOU is very basic but there is no MOU and all this is a drama.

And then Sakshi says Capgemini fled to Chennai fearing the new Government. Sakshi maybe desperate to brand a Government as failure in less than a month. Corporate companies like Capgemini are not fools to do that.

It’s important that this fake propaganda is nipped right in the bud, Nara Lokesh. Letting many of such propaganda scott free costed 2019 Elections and also the future of the state.
