Telugu Desam Party which is reduced to a mere 23 seats in the recent elections is trying to rejuvenate itself ahead of the Local Elections in Andhra Pradesh. The party has registered its first joining after the elections after YSR Congress Leader, Donnu Dora joining the party today in the presence of Chandrababu Naidu.
Donnu Dora was denied YSR Congress Araku Valley ticket in the recent elections. He contested as a Rebel and managed 27,598 Votes. He managed the second position and got votes more than TDP’s candidate, Kidari Sravan Kumar. His joining will boost the party in Araku Valley, the party believes.
Kidari Sarveswara Rao who won on YSR Congress Ticket in 2014 elections later joined TDP but was killed by the Maoists. Chandrababu Naidu made his son, Sravan Kumar, a Political Novice as the Minister. But the experiment failed and Sravan Kumar could not even get his deposit back.
Donnu Dora’s joining means TDP will have a proper politician at the helm in the constituency.
