The news of Tummala Nageswara Rao’s exit from Telugu Desam and boarding the car is creating ripples in Khammam district politics. Tummala’s exit will change the entire dynamics of Khammam politics, TRS which was also mostly a no entity there will become sizeable political force while TDP will be depleted further in Telangana. On this event, Flexi war broke out between TDP supporters and TRS supporters. While TRS banners invite Tummala to join the mission of Nava Telangana, TDP supporters shot out banners reminding the ideal of Telugu Desam Party and its founder NT Rama Rao who gave political birth and life to Tummala.
Except for the general elections, TDP emerged victorious in all the elections including MPTC and ZPTC polls held recently in the district. The failure in general elections is widely attributed to the differences between main leaders of the district, Tummala Nageswara Rao and Nama Nageswara Rao. Incidently both the leaders lost the election.
