Indigo Airlines has announced the flight service between Vijayawada and Kurnool will commence on June 2. A team from the airlines met up with AP Chambers president Potluri Bhaskara Rao in Vijayawada.
Meanwhile, the representatives of Chamber of Commerce asked for services to Dubai, Singapore from Vijayawada at the earliest. Bhaskar Rao reminded that when Indigo operated a flight to Singapore in the past, there was 80% occupancy.
He said that the services to Dubai and Singapore must start immediately.
Meanwhile, the distance between Vijayawada and Kurnool is 343 km. It takes approximately 7 hours to reach Kurnool by road. A flight will considerably reduce the travel time easing commuter problems.
Also, Vijayawada is the financial and commercial hub of Andhra Pradesh. Both Dubai and Singapore are ideal destinations not for just leisure, but also for business. With the state developing at a startling speed, the flights will help the passengers who frequently commute to these places.
