According to the data released by the Union Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI), Andhra Pradesh achieved the second-highest economic growth rate in India for 2024-25, with a growth rate of 8.21%.
Tamil Nadu tops the list with a 9.69% growth rate.
Andhra Pradesh’s economic growth rate was 6.19% in 2023-24. That means there is an impressive increase.
The other day, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu tweeted about this achievement, quoting a report in a National Newspaper.
Immediately, Botsa Satyanarayana released a Press Note condemning it.
Quoting Naidu’s tweet, YSR Congress Party X handle released the Press Note, titling it as ‘Rebuttal from Council LoP Shri Botcha Satyanarayana – Press Note’.
Jagan Mohan Reddy is seriously fighting to get the Opposition Leader Status in the AP Assembly.
In fact that is the only issue YSR Congress has been sincerely fighting ever since the elections.
Botcha said many things which basically give us the impression that YSR Congress wants AP to go to the dogs so that they can win politically on Chandrababu. They are ready to degrade AP so as to deny any credit for Chandrababu.
Keeping that aside, why did Jagan Mohan Reddy not release this Press Note?
A former Chief Minister and aspiring Opposition Leader, Jagan, should be responding to crucial issues like this.
Forget about Chandrababu Naidu giving or not giving the Opposition status, Jagan seems not keen on taking up that responsibility.
In fact, after the 2024 elections, Jagan completely deserted Andhra Pradesh.
He is mostly residing in Bengaluru these days and is coming to Andhra Pradesh only once in a while.
There is a joke in the Political circles of Andhra Pradesh. If at all, Andhra Pradesh owns an airline. The airline would become profitable just because of Jagan’s Bengaluru – Gannavaram Trips.
But there is a catch here. Jagan would prefer other Airlines to deny any revenue to the Government.
