Forget Laying Roads, Road Dug Up For Jagan’s Meeting!

Jagan MeetingAndhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy will be holding a meeting in Amaravathi, and it goes without saying that people will be mobilized for the event.

However, instead of providing facilities for those attending the meeting, the government has, in fact, created a major problem for the locals by digging up a vital road connection.

The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh will be distributing 1 cent house pattas to 50,000 people after declaring the R5 zone in Amaravathi. The meeting is scheduled to take place on May 26, opposite the Venkateswara Swamy temple in Venkatayapalem, Tulluru district. Interestingly, the meeting venue is located right next to the seed access road.

It is important to note that adjacent to the meeting location is the ‘Amaravathi NTR Sujala Cluster,’ which has a capacity of 15,000 liters. Approximately 12 tankers supply 60,000 liters of water daily to farmers in 29 neighboring villages at a nominal cost.

The plant, which is close to the meeting ground, is connected to the villages via a metal road that was specially laid for this purpose about six years ago. The road has been a great advantage to the villagers. A few years ago, when the road required repairs, the villagers collectively took the initiative to have it fixed.

Now, the officials have dug up the same road to accommodate the Chief Minister’s meeting. Naturally, this poses problems for everyone dependent on the water from the plant. With the rainy season approaching, difficult times are inevitable for the locals.
