
Union Civil Aviation Minister Rammohan Naidu has some good news for the people of Andhra Pradesh. New flights to Bengaluru, Bhuwaneshwar and Abu Dhabi have been announced.
The Minister said that new flights will be started to increase connectivity in Andhra Pradesh. Flights between Vizag-Abu Dhabi will start on June 13 and Vizag-Bhuwaneshwar will begin on June 12. Vijayawada-Bengaluru Air India Express service will start on June 2.

Morning flights between Vijayawada-vizag will commence from June 1 strengthening connectivity between two growth hubs of AP. The flights were suspended last month, but will resume on June 1, due to high demand.
There is also demand for connectivity between Vizag and Dubai and other tourist destinations to boost tourism in the region. As exports of shrimp, pharmaceuticals happen from Vizag, there is demand for more international flights connecting middle-eastern countries.

Efforts are on to increase the number of greenfield airports across the state.
