Politics is always the main agenda when anyone meets with Home Minister Amit Shah. Yesterday, AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu met Amit Shah. The meeting lasted for almost an hour, discussing partition assurances and aid to be received from the Centre. Even though the NDA has come to power for the third time, it is still short of 12 seats to pass any bill in the Rajya Sabha.
According to sources, both leaders discussed how to improve the NDA’s strength in the Rajya Sabha. YSRCP and BRS have a strength of 11 members and 4 members respectively. Reportedly, Amit Shah opined that instead of taking outside support from these parties, it would be better to bring them into either TDP or BJP as a solution for the NDA.
Among the 11 members of YSRCP in the Rajya Sabha, 4 of them are likely to join TDP. The names circulating on social media are Beeda Mastana Rao, R. Krishnaiah, and Pilli Subhash Chandrabose, who are likely to join TDP. There is no clarity on the fourth person, but three of them are almost certain to join. Beeda Mastana Rao and R. Krishnaiah joined YSRCP from TDP after the 2019 elections. It is very shocking to see Pilli’s name on the list.
