YSR Congress unveiled its candidates’ list for 175 MLA segments and 24 MP segments. Only one MP segment i.e., Anakapalli Parliament is kept pending.
Hindupur Parliament Candidate is interesting. Joladarasi Shantha is going to contest for Hindupur this time.
It is quite common for leaders of one segment to migrate to another segment and contest. Even for that, we have local and non-local issues taking center stage.
But then, Jagan brought Shantha from Karnataka to contest in Andhra Pradesh.
She was the MP of Bellary from BJP in 2014. She also contested the 2018 by-election from Ballari but lost by a huge margin of 240,000 votes.
Her profile is even more interesting. She is the sister of B. Sriramulu who is a close aide to the Mining Baron of Karnataka, Gali Karunakara Reddy.
Meanwhile, there are rumors that TDP may allocate the Hindupur MP ticket to the BJP.
Interestingly, there are reports that Gali will join the BJP soon. B Sreeramulu is already in the BJP.
