Gali Asks for Less, Judge Says Why Not Life Sentence

It is known that the judgement in Obulapuram Case has finally been given. Ex Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan Reddy got a sentence of 7 years along with three others.

The case that began in 2009 has finally been resolved. Ex minister Sabita Indrareddy expressed her happiness and relief over getting a clean chit.

Meanwhile, it is said Gali Janardhan Reddy requested the judge to reduce his term as he had already spent time in jail for 4 years. He pleaded with the judge that he was in public life and it required him to be close to people.

But the judge had his version. He said that the sentence could have been for 10 years. In fact, you deserve a life sentence, the judge told Gali Janardhan Reddy.

Three other accused also got 7 years of imprisonment, while one of the accused died during the process. The Obulapuram case is regarding illegal mining of iron ore in Bellary Reserve Forest Area, Karnataka.
