There is a saying that being a dog in wealthy people’s homes is a boon in itself. Well, proving the saying right is little dog Waffle. German veterinary doctor Dr. Matthias Frank flew in from Germany to help with an open heart surgery for Waffle.
Waffle was a surprise arrival for Juhu (Mumbai) resident Rani Raj Wankawalla. However, when she first took the puppy in her hand, she felt an unusual sound and vibrations in her palm. Her fears were confirmed when she took the pup to a vet.
Now, 4 years old, Waffle’s condition had become critical and the Mumbai doctors suggested that Rani takes Waffle to the UK where a non-invasive surgery could be performed. However, due to the pandemic, that did not happen and Waffle needed immediate care. So, as an alternative, Dr. Frank was flown in from Germany to assist in the open heart surgery of Waffle at Dr. Markand Chousalkar’s clinic, Top Dog Pets Clinic in Andheri.
After four weeks, Waffle is its usual, mischievous self-playing around happily.
