Telangana government allotted 400 Crore for Swachh Hyderabad Program and the campaign saw the chief minister, governor and top bureaucrats and others taking to the city streets in a bid to clean it up.

But everything is forgotten after that and the government had got a shock to receive a ranking of 275 among 476 cities evaluated for Swachh Bharat rankings. The government do not want this to happen this year.
Three central teams deputed by the urban development ministry , have been going around the city since Monday. GHMC has put the staff of its health and sanitation wing on a high alert with instructions to keep the city `more clean’, at least during the survey period to get better rank this time.
