While the division of employees had reached a vital point between both the Telugu States, the All India Service officers mostly opted for the Telangana option to stay back in Hyderabad city. Most of the officer cite their children’s education as the reason of the option and majority of them do not want to leave the luxury of the metropolis and go for the under developed Seema Andhra.
A fine example of this, out of the total 211 posts available, only 31 wanted to relocate to residual AP. Officials also cite the administrative convenience working with Telangana since the state has an established set-up here while the residual Andhra Pradesh has to build everything from the scratch. Now the officers who failed to get their options preference fear political victimization as their options are publicly displayed.
