Guntur Couple Drowns In U.S. Lake While Taking PicsIt is known that the US and Canada are facing extreme weather conditions due to a bomb cyclone when atmospheric pressure plummets. Both the US and Canada are facing snow, strong winds, and freezing temperatures. In a tragic incident, three Indian-Americans, including a woman, drowned when they fell through the ice while walking on a frozen lake in the state of Arizona.

The incident occurred in the afternoon at around 3 pm on December 26 at Woods Canyon Lake in Coconino County, Arizona. The two missing men were located dead and were identified as Narayana Muddana, 49, and Gokul Mediseti, 47. The female victim has been identified as Haritha Muddana, 36.

Narayana Muddana and Haritha were from Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. They went along with their daughters Pujitha, 12, and Harshitha, 10. The couple and the other deceased died while taking pictures on the frozen lake when the ice gave in. The couple has been living in the US for the past seven years.

Though originally from India, the three resided in Chandler, Arizona. Officials immediately rushed to the area once they got to know of the incident and could pull out Haritha and gave her life-saving measures. However, Haritha died on the spot. Later, the bodies of both men were fished out.

Wood Canyon Lake is located east of Payson in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests, which is popular among hikers, anglers, and outdoor adventure lovers.
