Harish Rao was the Irrigation Minister of Telangana in the first term of KCR. He made key progress in various irrigation projects and was the man behind the fast execution of the Kaleshwaram Project which KCR claims as his biggest achievement.
But then after the 2018 elections, Harish Rao was stripped of the portfolio. KTR was made the Working President of BRS and continued to hold crucial portfolios.
Harish was given the important Finance Portfolio but everyone knows it is just a namesake ministry and the Chief Minister himself will be calling all shots.
But times have changed now and BRS is once again in the Opposition.
Neither KCR nor KTR took questions in the Assembly when Revanth Reddy Government tabled White Papers on the state’s financial condition and the irrigation project.
KCR used to claim himself as the Designer of the Kaleshwaram Project.
But it was Harish Rao who had to slog in the Assembly defending the former Government.
In fact, KTR did not speak in the Assembly on such crucial matters on Wednesday. It did not appear like he even came to the house.
He only tweeted making political statements against the White Papers.
With the rumors of KCR unlikely to come to the house, Harish will have to do more of that in days to come.
