On going power controversy between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh is heating up every day, the other day Harish Rao retorted that Telangana government will not be hesitating to stop power for Seemandhra houses, office and Assembly in case AP Government cancels the power purchase agreements (PPAs). But Harish Rao’s comments will have more effect on Telangana state than Andhra Pradesh.
Agree or not there is substantial contribution of Seemandhra people in the economy of Hyderabad, statements like this will unsettle them for sure and will cause the damage of brand Hyderabad. Harish Rao is not an opposition leader or movement leader now to make such flared up comments. He is representing a state government and should certainly watch his words before letting them out.
These type of statements will not only unsettle Seema Andhra people or industrialists but also will have an affect on settlers from the other states of the country. In case some of them move out to other states, it will do harm to Telangana state and people more than any thing else. Also there is no room for ‘eye for an eye’ ideologies and people especially those in governments should fight anything only through legal processes.
