Harrassed by State & Center, Galla Quits Politics

Guntur MP Galla Jayadev announced his withdrawing from politics. He announced that he could not remain silent in the current situation where the central and state governments are targeting him and his businesses. He added that he never expected such a situation to come.

However, he said that the latest decision is temporary. “Just like how Rama returned to Ayodhya after exile and how Pandavas returned strong after their exile, I will return to politics,” Jayadev said

“I cannot sit silently in the Parliament watching. I feel that I am not able to perform my work completely. Even if I contest again I will win. But I decide not to be in politics. My father retired from business two years ago. In this context, it becomes difficult to coordinate politics and business. That is why I am leaving politics,” said Galla Jayadev.

“ED called me twice and interrogated me in different cases. All my businesses are under surveillance. CBI and ED are tapping my phones. There are seventy permissions that are to be renewed for businesses every year. All these permissions are becoming weapons against me,” said Jayadev.
