High-end tourism in Suryalanka is set to receive a major boost with top hotel brands planning new properties. Several hotels are preparing to open beachside projects in Bapatla. Three-star hotels are also eyeing early entry into this growing destination.

Around 6.69 acres have been allotted to Hilton for a five-star hotel project worth Rs 183.8 crore. The property will have 124 rooms. Plans also include a sailing club and a convention centre that can accommodate 1,000 people.

ITC will develop a five-star hotel on 8.08 acres with an investment of Rs 187.5 crore. The hotel will feature 104 rooms. It will also house an 800-capacity convention centre, a banquet hall, and a wellness centre.

Royal Orchid will set up a three-star resort spread across 2.6 acres. The project involves an investment of Rs 64.4 crore. The resort will include 80 rooms and a convention centre with 150-seat capacity.

The Chandrababu government is focused on promoting upscale beach tourism in Andhra Pradesh. At present, Suryalanka has emerged as the key area for this tourism push. Officials believe premium hotels will attract both leisure and business travellers.
