psr-anjaneyulu

PSR Anjaneyulu served as the Chief of the Intelligence Bureau (IB) during YS Jagan’s government. His name has surfaced several times for the wrong reasons. YSRCP has been known to favor individuals from a particular community, whether in government positions or within the political party.

Though PSR Anjaneyulu does not belong to that community, he aligned himself with YS Jagan’s interests, which brought him closer to the Chief Minister. Had YS Jagan returned to power, PSR might have had a chance to become the state’s top police officer.

However, things went awry, and now PSR is facing major problems at the end of his career. Regardless of how smart PSR might be, a mistake was made, and that mistake has caused significant damage to three IPS officers, including him.

According to the suspension order, PSR summoned two officers, Kanti Rana Tata (2004 batch) and Vishal Gunni (2010 batch), on January 31st to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO). This raises suspicions, as PSR had his own office. Why was it necessary to discuss the matter at the CMO? This has led to doubts about the involvement of YSRCP leaders in this case.

A few hours before YSRCP leader Vidyasagar lodged a complaint against Mumbai actress Jethwani, Vishal Gunni and three other officers booked a flight to Mumbai to arrest her. The complaint was officially registered at Ibrahimpatnam PS on February 2nd by the YSRCP leader, yet flight tickets to Mumbai were booked on February 1st under the leadership of Vishal Gunni.

Before an IPS officer can travel outside their jurisdiction, they must obtain approval from their superiors, known as a “passport” in police terms. However, this procedure was not followed. Additionally, even if the officer pays for the travel themselves, they can later claim reimbursement. But in this case, no such process occurred. These lapses are the primary reasons why PSR is held responsible.

It is reported that Vishal Gunni has revealed everything. Furthermore, he provided a written statement detailing how PSR Anjaneyulu instructed him and had been influencing him since January 31st. This testimony is now a major liability for PSR.
