YSR Congress Party is all set to contest for more than 100 seats in Telangana. The base of the party took a severe beating in the region after it took the Samayikya Andhra stand. However the party do not want to restrict itself to Seema Andhra so contest in Telangana too. The party with the support of CPM is hoping to bag at least couple of seats in Khammam district and few seats in Hyderabad so that its tally in Telangana do not appear Zero.
However the efforts of the party is not so great in that direction. YS Jagan, Vijayamma and Sharmila are seriously campaigning in Seema Andhra. They are only gearing up for namesake campaigning in Telangana. Interestingly, the party even did not have a manifesto for the Telangana region. The nominations have completed and there is no manifesto for candidates to go to the people. This shows the lack of seriousness of YSRCP on Telangana region. It is said that the party will release the manifesto in a couple of days. Insider reports state they just promise to continue popular YSR schemes with new names in it.
