The first trial run of the Metro train of Hyderabad will begin next week. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao will flag off the trial run. Later on the trial run will continue for 6 months in Uppal Depot. Railway Protection Commission will conduct the trial run between Nagole and Mettuguda in December. It is known to our readers that the first metro rail was delivered by the Korean Manufactures last month.
The first phase of metro works is progressing fast and the Nagole to Mettuguda will be operational from March, 2015. The total Metro Rail Project is of Rs 20,000 crore worth and it is the biggest investment ever made by the construction company, L&T in any one single city. The project spanning 72 Kms is expected to complete in 5 years and if it happens, it will register a record for the shortest construction period for 72 kms stretch in just five years.
