In a recent incident near the old MLA quarters in Hyderabad, Pagadala Pranav, an NRI from Hyderabad, found himself in a legal predicament after his pet dog was allegedly struck by a Narayanguda Police Patrol Car during a routine walk.
The ensuing altercation led to Pranav being sentenced to 20 days in jail for showing attitude and using abusive language against the police officers involved.
Pranav, 29, was walking his two pet dogs when the patrol vehicle reportedly hit one of them. In a moment of frustration, he verbally lashed out at the police officer driving the car. A video capturing the heated exchange quickly went viral on social media.
As a consequence of his actions, Pranav was charged with using extremely abusive language against a police officer on duty. He was convicted and handed a 20-day jail sentence following a court hearing.
The incident has sparked a debate on social media, with a section of animal lovers questioning the judgment and expressing concerns about the welfare of Pranav’s dogs. Many are demanding accountability for the police officers involved and questioning the extent of the injuries sustained by the injured dog.
