The high-stakes meeting focused entirely on expanding the conglomerate’s existing automotive and electric vehicle footprint within Andhra Pradesh.

Reinforcing the state’s proactive business approach, Lokesh assured the top management of absolute, friction-free administrative backing, guaranteeing rapid-fire clearances and complete policy stability for their upcoming expansion projects.

During the extensive discussions, Minister Lokesh pitched a bold, forward-looking roadmap designed to transform Andhra Pradesh into a primary global hub for next-generation mobility.

He formally requested Hyundai Mobis to establish a state-of-the-art EV Semiconductor Hub in the state and proposed the setting up of an advanced automotive Research & Development and engineering center in Visakhapatnam.

Furthermore, the Minister laid out a strategic blueprint to set up a dedicated EV components and battery systems manufacturing facility along the high-growth Tirupati-Anantapur industrial corridor, capitalising on the state’s existing automotive ecosystem.

Responding with strong optimism, the Hyundai Mobis leadership highlighted that their Anantapur unit is already gearing up to manufacture core modular components for Hyundai and Kia, and confirmed that the state’s ambitious new proposals will be fast-tracked through high-level internal board reviews for immediate consideration.
