
Telangana Assembly Budget Session is discussing on the Thanks Motion to the Governor’s Address. The Tensions have already flared and five Congress MLAs were suspended from the house for trying to obstruct the Chief Minister’s Speech. The issue of CAA also rocked the Assembly.
Telangana Assembly is passing a resolution against CAA. KCR said he is against CAA as it is against the fundamental tenets of the Constitution and secular is in Preamble. He also said, “I don’t have my Birth Certificate how can the poor Dalits/Muslims/Tribals to show their documents”.
As of now, there is only one member in the Telangana Assembly who is Pro-CAA. He is none other than the sole MLA of BJP – Raja Singh. The Chief Minister announced that the Assembly will dedicate one full date for the discussion on the CAA and will send a resolution against it to the Central Government.
Recently, the Assemblies of Kerala, West Bengal, and Punjab have moved resolutions against CAA. Andhra Pradesh Assembly is also likely to move a Resolution in the upcoming session.
