The state president post is reportedly causing a stir in BJP Telangana. According to sources, the party’s high command decided to postpone the appointment of a new president for a couple of months.
It is heard that the high command wants to appoint the state president only after the national president is elected.

Meanwhile, the party in Telangana has been divided into two groups, supporting candidates of their liking. One group is of old party members and another group is of new party members, who recently shifted from other parties.
Currently, Kishan Reddy is serving as BJP’s state president. Recently, he was made the Union Minister of Coal and Mines. Thus, the party wants to relieve him from state presidential duties.

Later, opinions were collected from state members on who would be the better choice for the next president. At the same time, senior and popular leaders of the state started lobbying with national leaders.
In the process, there was a verbal war between the likes of Raja Singh and Etela Rajender as well. On the other side, local RSS leaders seem to be demanding to give the post to a candidate who has been in the party for a long time, believing in its ethics and values.

As per sources, Malkajgiri MP Etela Rajender, Medak MP Raghunandan Rao, Mahabubnagar MP DK Aruna, Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Aravind, and MLC Ramachander Rao are in the race for the presidential post.
It is heard that both Etela and Ramachander Rao are lobbying hard to get that position.
While the old BJP members who have been in the party for a long time are supporting Ramachander Rao, the other section is supporting Etela, saying that a popular face is needed to run the party.
Thus, it has become a war between insiders (who have been in the party for a long time) vs outsiders (who shifted recently from other parties) in the state BJP, worrying the local cadre, who are requesting the high command to solve the issue as soon as possible.
