Minister Botsa Satyanarayana made a big challenge the other day. He made a prophecy that TDP and Janasena parties will be gone by the next Sankranthi and he challenged him to shave off his head if that does not happen.
“I am not saying this for some greatness. I am saying this with all my experience. I am saying this as a person who knows the pulse of the people,” Botsa added.
Keeping aside the prophecy, the big claims of experience, knowing the pulse of the people, etc come as a joke.
Botsa was the second tallest leader in Congress during the YSR’s time. He was the PCC Chief and the Number Two in the Government. Botsa was touted to be the next in line for the Chief Minister’s post after YSR’s demise.
But he could not pull it off. Even after the bifurcation, he failed to catch the same pulse of the people and remained in Congress to face a bitter defeat. All of his family members lost that election.
After the 2014 defeat, he joined YSR Congress in 2015 and has become just a namesake minister after winning in 2019 elections.
The respect he used to command in Congress is no longer there. He is just trying to be in the good books of Jagan whose age is almost his political experience.
Botsa should probably retrospect on his political future before becoming an astrologer for TDP and Janasena.
