The upcoming hearing in the Supreme Court regarding the bail cancellation petition of YSRCP chief and CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, scheduled for April 1, has become a focal point of attention amidst the AP assembly elections. The petition, filed by Narasapuram MP Raghuramakrishna Raju, seeks the cancellation of Jagan’s bail and will be heard by a bench headed by Justice Sanjeev Khanna.
Additionally, Raghuramakrishna Raju has filed another petition in the Supreme Court to transfer the trial of Jagan’s cases to another state. This petition is also slated for a hearing on April 1 before the same bench. The timing of these hearings, coinciding with the election period, has heightened interest in the outcome of the proceedings.
Jagan’s campaign for the assembly elections began on March 27 with a 21-day bus yatra starting from Idupulapaya. Amidst his bid for a second term in office, the attention is now focused on the decisions to be made by Justice Sanjeev Khanna regarding the bail cancellation petition and the trial transfer petition.
In another development, the Telangana High Court dismissed a petition filed by YV Subba Reddy, stating that CBI had provided strong evidence against him in connection with Jagan’s illegal assets case. This decision indicates the seriousness of the allegations against YV Subba Reddy and adds to the political tense among YSRCP cadre before elections.
