Jagan Mohan Reddy is into making some crazy changes in the candidates. YSR Congress so far changed 72 candidates (59 MLA and 13 MPs) in the five lists released so far. There can be more changes as well.
Jagan initially denied a seat for Minister Gummanur Jayaram from the Alur Constituency. Jayaram is close and a business partner to Tainted Karnataka Politician, Gaali Janardhan Reddy.
Jayaram approached Gaali and got a recommendation from Jagan. The YSRCP President made him the candidate for Kurnool Parliament. Jayaram, however, is not happy with the appointment and disappeared.
Jagan replaced Jayaram with Kurnool Mayor BY Ramaiah. Now, Jayaram is in talks with TDP and Congress to switch loyalties.
Jagan is upset that a Minister jumping the ship would be very bad for his party.
He reportedly reached out to Gali to intervene and prevent Jayaram from leaving the party.
Gummanur Jayaram is the Minister of Labour, Employment, Training, Factories in Jagan’s cabinet.
