Jagan Could Not Find Half-Decent District Presidents

The other day, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy held a Review Meeting of the party leaders of the Erst While Krishna and Guntur districts. YSR Congress drew a blank in both districts in the recent election.

And it looks like the party condition has become even worse after that. YSR Congress has many senior leaders in both the districts but none of them have come forward to take the responsibility in these difficult times.

That is clearly evident in the appointment of new District Presidents. Devineni Avinash was appointed as the District President of NTR District.

Avinash faced three elections to date and has not won even once. In the recent election, he was the candidate for the Vijayawada East constituency, but he lost by a big margin of 50,000 votes.

Perni Nani was appointed as the district president of Krishna. He announced Political Retirement before the Election and did not even contest.

His son, Perni Kittu contested in his place and lost by a margin of over 50,000 votes. Jagan had to convince Nani to take up the post with no leader ready to take the responsibility.

And then, Ambati Rambabu was announced as the President of the Guntur district. Ambati only won a single election in his life and that too in Jagan‘s wave in 2019. In the recent elections, he lost by around 30,000 Votes. Previously, Ambati had a bad image in the people after instances of getting caught trying to lure women for sexual favors.

Between 2019 and 2024, YS Jagan’s regime was known for Vendetta Politics and harassed the Opposition leaders including Chandrababu Naidu with cases and jail.

The leaders who spoke like loose-tongues back then feared meeting the same fate and so were worried about doing anything to the party or speaking in the media which may attract the attention of the Ruling Party. So no one is ready to take the responsibility.

All three are unlikely to command any respect from the party leaders and cadres in the district. In particular, many in-charges are much more senior and electorally more success than them.

In all probability, they can only be a stop-gap arrangement until before the elections.

One more common point in these leaders is they are the ones who are a bit vocal and are making critical comments on the Government. It is known to our readers that abusing Chandrababu Naidu is always the major criterion for Jagan to give opportunities to the leaders.

He always asked leaders to abuse Chandrababu in the media to prove their loyalty.
