Former MP Undavalli Arun Kumar said changing MLA candidates is very risky and can backfire on Jagan Mohan Reddy.
“We are hearing about 100 MLAs will be changed. That is extremely risky. Jagan approached Sonia Gandhi to make him CM and she refused. We have seen what Jagan did to Congress. The changed candidates can do the same to the YSR Congress now. Changing of candidates should be done so carefully that the changed MLA should not be hurt. But I do not believe Jagan has those tactics,” Undavalli said.
“Jagan already made MLAs dummies with Volunteers. It is not that he is giving tickets to volunteers. The MLAs will get offended if they are not given tickets. KCR lost because he changed the MLAs. Jagan should not get to the position that is losing because of changing the MLAs,” Undavalli warned.
Jagan Mohan Reddy so far changed incharges for 11 seats and there is a buzz that the list can go on to 82 seats. Even several Ministers and those who are very vocal in defending Jagan are also losing seats.
In most cases, Jagan is not even talking to those who are denied tickets. Either Sajjala Rama Krishna Reddy or Dhanunjaya Reddy, the Secretary of Jagan in the CMO are communicating the decision to the MLAs.
Those who were refused tickets are likely to decide in a month or two to avoid harassment by the Government.
