It has become a new headache for Jagan’s men to pool in and then keep hold of the crowds for his public meetings. The other day, in Anantapur, organisers had to keep barricades to prevent public from going away halfway through the meeting.
Today, a YCP vice MPP named Pratap Reddy abused a commoner over attending Jagan’s public meeting.
“Do you think this is a joke? Jagan is coming to Narpala and you’re roaming your roads. If you don’t come to the meeting, I will slap you with my slipper and then recover the money you got through Jagan’s schemes,” the vice MPP reportedly told a commoner named Venkata Ramudu.
The abusive conversation happened over a phone and the victim is said to be distraught about getting abused the YCP leader.
When the commoner asked there’s nothing the YCP leader did for him and he couldn’t even sanction the government-funded house for him, the latter went on to abuse him further and threatened to take back the money he got through Jagan’s schemes.
With less than a year to go for the elections campaign, such behaviour will cost YCP dearly, opine experts.
