King 100 vs Dada: Who Will Rule Christmas?

Balakrishna and Nagarjuna Christmas box office clash

Tollywood’s Christmas season turns into a Nandamuri-Akkineni battleground. Balakrishna’s Dada and Nagarjuna’s King 100 are reportedly eyeing December 24 releases, bringing both senior stars into a direct festive-season competition. It is a clash that brings back memories of their previous box-office encounters and could once again get fans talking.

The Nandamuri-Akkineni rivalry is not new to Telugu cinema. Balakrishna and Nagarjuna have crossed paths at the box office several times over the years. Bhargava Ramudu and Majnu faced off on the same day in January 1987. In 1994, Bhairava Dweepam arrived just a week before Hello Brother. The two stars came into the festive race again in 2016 with Dictator and Soggade Chinni Nayana. Now, Christmas could bring them face to face once again.

This time, there is an added reason for the excitement. King 100 marks a major milestone in Nagarjuna’s career, while Balakrishna is teaming up with Gopichand Malineni for Dada. Nagarjuna has the expectations surrounding his landmark film, while Balakrishna will be looking to make the most of his mass appeal.

For fans, this is already an exciting prospect. But the real contest will be at the ticket counters. After all, neither side would want to give the other an easy Christmas!
