Andhra Pradesh politics are generally regarded for their insane entertainment value. Every day, there is something new and unexpected happening in the political spectrum.
And now, the bandwagon has shifted to a series of social media posts about the shoes that are worn by YS Jagan and Nara Lokesh.
Since yesterday, there have been multiple social media posts about Jagan wearing Zegna shoes which is luxury product designed by famous Italian artistry designer Zegna.
These shows reportedly cost ₹1.85 lakh in Indian currency. Generally, the products belonging to Zegna company are worn by some of the richest people in the world and they have a lot of artistic value associated with them.
More importantly, in the case of Jagan, him wearing these luxury shoes worth nearly ₹2,00,000 while speaking about the class disparity in Andhra Pradesh was exposed by TDP supporters.
As a trigger response to this, the YSR Congress social media group acted accordingly and they shared pictures of Lokesh’s shoes from ASICS brand.
Their argument was that the ASICS shoes that were worn by Lokesh are female shoes and aren’t to be used by men. The side of the story was that YSRCP tried to bring gender angle into this by saying Lokesh is wearing women’s shoes.
As preposterous as it may sound, AP political debates are now revolving around the shoes worn by Jagan and Lokesh. This is never a good sign as the supporting groups are focusing on the shoes of respective leaders of all the issues that are relevant in the state.
