Sometimes, Parties themselves drop hints about desperation and signs of defeat.
We can easily see it in their body language and the way they approach the elections and promises.
For example, Congress announced its Manifesto first in Telangana in the recent elections. KCR came next and announced similar promises with slightly increased amounts.
While Congress promised a pension of Rs 4000, KCR’s party increased it to Rs 5,000.
The Congress promised Rs 2,500 for women and a subsidized rate of Rs 500 for gas cylinders, and KCR changed the amounts to Rs 3,000 and Rs 400 respectively.
Even the promise of Rs 15,000 for farmers by Congress was topped by KCR’s pledge of Rs 16,000,
But then, people did not trust KCR and voted for Congress.
Now, Jagan Mohan Reddy is becoming desperate just like how KCR did.
It is known that TDP announced Free RTC Bus travel for women in Mahanadu that happened in May this year.
Initially, Jagan did not take it seriously but the scheme was a blockbuster in Telangana.
Startled Jagan Government is preparing to implement the same scheme from Sankranthi in Andhra Pradesh. The officials were ordered to conduct a feasibility study.
The problem is that the state government has to reimburse the tickets for women. But then, the Jagan Government is notorious for not adhering to such commitments. That will only push RTC into a financial quagmire.
