YS Jagan Mohan Reddy tasted Success for the first time after the disastrous electoral result in 2024.
Last week, Jagan Mohan Reddy defied the Model Code Of Conduct and toured Guntur Mirchi Yard. He spoke with farmers who were suffering as the Prices of Mirchi fell sharply.

Immediately after the tour, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu wrote a letter to the Union Agriculture Minister to ensure a better Minimum Support Price for the farmers.
And then, he met the Minister when he went to the National Capital for the Delhi CM Swearing-in Ceremony. The Minister arranged a High-level meeting the very next day to address the issue.

It is nice to see the CM swiftly move over the issue but then, in pure political language, Chandrababu should have got his timing wrong.
The public will perceive this as the Government’s reaction to the Opposition’s Protest.

The job of the Opposition is to pressure the Government to make it work. And the same has happened.
TDP can say that they would have done the same even if Jagan did not protest.
But then, Politics does not work that way. Optics are very important in Politics and the Public often understands things in a very simple manner.
Chandrababu’s reaction after Jagan’s Tour is simple to understand. To understand anything beyond that is not straightforward and people will not do that.
That does not mean the Government should ignore the issue because the Opposition took it.
The Government should be Proactive than being reactive if it were to win the perception and public battles too.
But why the Government did not address the issue beforehand?
That may be again because of a problem of Chandrababu Naidu.
One of the major problems with Chandrababu Naidu is his failure to delegate things. The Chief Minister brings upon himself everything and then, struggles to find time. The Agriculture Minister should be handling this thing.
But Chandrababu has to handle everything and every Ministry. It is also unfair to reprimand the poor Minister but it is the working style of Chandrababu Naidu.
As far as Jagan is concerned, this will boost his morale and the party’s morale. It will motivate him to hit the road on more issues in the coming days. Chandrababu Government should be prepared for it.
