YS Jagan has relocated around 1/3rd of his MLAs and MPs to new constituencies and he is still on the cusp of shuffling a few more candidates now. In one such attempt, Jagan is reportedly keen on allotting the Tenali MLA ticket to film producer Dasari Kiran and has sent Vijayasai Reddy to convey this message to sitting MLA Annabathuni Siva Kumar.
Vijayasai reportedly met Siva Kumar and conveyed Jagan’s proposition to the sitting MLA and offered him the Ponnur MLA ticket. Perplexed MLA Siva Kumar turned down the plan as he was unable to fathom why he was being asked to vacate his sitting seat at the last minute and go to Ponnur, which is seen as a losing seat for YSR Congress.
Reportedly, the meeting ended on an unsatisfactory note as Vijayasai told Siva Kumar that he could move to Ponnur if he wanted else he could brace up for what is to come. The concern of the MLA is how can he move out of his sitting seat and go spend money on a losing seat like Ponnur.
The reason why YCP intends to reward film producer Dasari Kiran with Tenali MLA ticket is that he aligns with the party’s interests and produced Vyooham with RGV which is designated to pass satires on Chandrababu, Lokesh, and Pawan Kalyan. But is it right to make this happen at the expense of a sitting MLA who was with the party through thick and thin?
