Before the 2019 election, Jagan Mohan Reddy promised to make the pension to 3,000 Rupees.
Immediately after coming to power, using wordplay, Jagan said he only promised to go on increasing the pension to 3,000 Rupees.
He announced to increase in Pension by 250 Rupees per year. Jagan is in the fourth year of this term and the pension should have been already 3000 Rupees.
But it has been delayed and the Chief Minister in Kuppam today promised to increase the Pension to 2,750 Rupees from January next year.
That means the next increase will only happen in January 2024 or around that time.
The election schedule for the Andhra Pradesh assembly will come in March if Jagan does not opt for an early election.
That means the last 250 Rupees increase will be a last-minute election freebie.
On one hand, Jagan makes tall claims of Maata Thippanu Madama Thippanu but that does not materialize into deeds as evident from this issue.
