The very less time before the coming elections is proving to be a hindrance for Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena Party. The actor is still in dilemma regarding contesting of the elections. The party lacks proper structure and cadre to take up the election challenge. So far there is no official representative for the party and all the news that goes in media regarding the party are speculations/gossips/hear-says.
The party had started the membership drive online. So far 2 Lakh members were registered through internet and the offline membership drives are yet to begin. Efforts are on to conduct membership drives in all the wards at village level. However they have not decided if to begin this drive before or after the elections. That itself is an indication of the confusion in the party setup. If this is taken up after the elections, since there is a time of 5 years for the next election, leaders and cadre get relaxed and the momentum with the party diminish by 2019.
The party’s first public meeting will take place on March 26th at Indira Priya Darshini Municipal stadium in Vishakapatnam. Pawan Kalyan is expected to announce his decision on crucial issues like contesting elections, alliances etc. The actor will have to dedicate some time to speak on the Party’s agenda too. His last speech was mostly focused on establishing reasons for his political reentry.
