‘If we open the gate, Congress Party will become empty’ when Chandra Babu gave this statement few months ago, every one thought it was a joke. But now it is seriously becoming true. Looking at the leaders joining from Congress to Telugu Desam, the 125 years old party will very soon turn empty. MLA Davuluri Dorababu (Peddapuram), MLC Thippeswamy (Anantapur), Shankar Yadav (Thambalapalli), MLA Kuthuhalamma (Gangadhara Nellore) are confirmed to join Telugu Desam Party.
Sources say that Ex-Ministers DL Ravindra Reddy, Thota Narasimham and Guntur MP Rayapati Samba Siva Rao are expected to join Telugu Desam Party very soon. On the other side, there are fears among TDP cadre itself that this leaders may bring anti-government vote with them to TDP. Opposition parties are taking pot shots on TDP for accommodating corrupt Congress leaders calling TDP as Congress Desam Party.
