Telangana Assembly Elections are less than 100 days away. KCR already hurled a masterstroke by declaring candidates for most of the seats. The opposition is left panting for some hope.
Ever since the Karnataka elections, Congress has got a Filip. The changing of Bandi Sanjay as the Party President gave an indication to the voters that BRS and BJP arrived at some understanding and so, the contest has become BRS vs. Congress.
But even Congress is not comfortably placed. Even though it is in second position, it is like a distant second and is nowhere close to BRS.
V6 Owner Vivek Venkata Swamy is quitting the BJP and is likely to join Congress. V6 is the only prominent channel that supports BJP in Telangana.
Now, the channel will shift to Congress. V6 is consistently in third place in the BARC ratings every week. This week as well, it is in the third position after NTV and TV9.
Its affiliated Newspaper Velugu also has a good readership. So, this is a big boost for Congress.
It has to be seen if Revanth Reddy will make this count. Meanwhile, Congress is gearing up to announce the first list of candidates very soon with around 50 names.
