Kavitha Manages To Get One Seat: Municipolls TG

Kavitha municipolls win

Telangana Jagruthi president Kavitha and her contestants managed to win one municipality in Vaddepalli. Though Kavitha claimed to launch a party, she continues to be unclear about it. Since the municipal elections happened before she took a decision, Kavitha took the support of All India Forward Bloc and contested on their symbol.

Now, the All India Forward Bloc has won one municipality in Gadwal Jogulamba district. In the 10 wards in the municipality, AIFB won in 8 wards. Congress and BRS won only one ward each. Jagruthi members contested in alliance with Forward Bloc and won the municipality.

Political analysts say the municipal polls clearly show that Kavitha‘s district tour in the name of Janam Baata barely seems to have had an impact. They say just like Sharmila in Andhra Pradesh, the in-fighting within the family is impacting both Kavitha and KTR.

The Congress has won the municipal polls smoothly without any problems and it matters to the party as the municipal polls are the first elections fought on their party symbol after 2023 Assembly elections.

Meanwhile, the clean sweep by the ruling party has clearly shown the voters are watching that BRS does not have a strong leadership. Since Telangana politics were always about issues and not religious, caste sentiments, the BJP failed to make a mark despite its leaders claiming that the people were looking for an alternative party.

The winning of one municipality reflects that Kavitha’s confidence in making a dent in Telangana politics remains a distant dream at least for now.
