BJP Leader Says He Predicted Kavitha’s Move

Kavitha finally confirmed she will be launching her political party on April 25. Well, it does not come as a huge surprise as Kavitha started speaking about the party right after she exited BRS.

Of course, there was ambiguity about the date, but Telangana citizens were waiting to see when she will actually take the big step. Now that the news is out, political leaders are slowly commenting on her latest move.

First among those to react is BJP MP Raghunandan Rao. He says he had predicted a year back about BRS splitting into four factions and Kavitha setting up her own party.

Though many feel Kavitha is strong-willed, no political party chose to touch her. One of the main reasons is her lack of on-ground political popularity as she directly became an MP during her father’s term.

Secondly, politics in India continue to be patriarchal and a daughter questioning her own father with aspirations of becoming the CM one day put her under poor light.

Raghunandan said when he first made the prediction, people commented that he turned an astrologer. Raghunandan said he has been vindicated now. In a democracy, every citizen has a right to set up a party, he pointed out.

The BJP leader said by 2028, BRS would have lost its identity as the party has turned into a playground for two cousins instead of focusing on people’s problems.

But Kavitha herself seems to be banking on such a development in BRS. Instead of hitting out at the ruling Congress and the BJP, Kavitha has chosen BRS as her target. Family in-fights do make for juicy media bytes and the BRS story is no different.
