Prime Minister Narendra Modi stepped into the Election mode for Telangana. The Prime Minister is here to inaugurate and lay the foundation for projects worth 11,300 Crore.
As expected, Chief Minister KCR did not receive the PM in the airport and did not attend the official programs skipping the protocol. In his speech at a public meeting in the city’s parade ground, Modi lashed out at the KCR Government.
“This NDA government considers it our duty to fulfill the dreams of citizens in Telangana. We have given the Metro project to Hyderabad. Center has spent Rs.15,000 cr to add 5.000 km of National Highway in Telangana. One out of seven mega textile parks is sanctioned to Telangana,” Modi explained.
The PM directly attacked KCR Government for the first time.
“Several projects were delayed because of non-cooperation of the Telangana Government causing inconvenience to people. A handful of people are against development. They are worried about those who are committed to working. They are promoting corruption. They look for benefits for their family in every project. Corruption and nepotism are no lt different,” the PM said without naming KCR.
“Do you not want to fight the corrupt and get rid of them or not? Why the law should not act against the corrupt? Keeping the corrupt away alone would benefit the people of Telangana. Bless us for the sake of Telangana’s development,” Modi appealed to the people.
