Telangana Chief Minister KCR played a significant role in supporting the opposition YSRCP party to defeat Chandrababu Naidu and the TDP in the 2019 General Elections in Andhra Pradesh.
It is mentioned that KCR aims to continue the same strategy in the 2024 elections to defeat the TDP once again. According to political sources, KCR has launched a new strategy to benefit CM Jagan Mohan Reddy in the upcoming general elections in Andhra Pradesh.
The strategy involves attempting to split the votes of the Kapu community, who are reportedly dissatisfied with Jagan’s approach, instead of supporting the TDP-Jana Sena alliance.
Former All India Service officers from the Kapu community, led by AP-BRS President Thota Chandrasekhar, allegedly met with KCR in Hyderabad to discuss this strategy.
During the meeting, the retired officials requested a grant of land and funds for building a structure for various castes, including Telaga, Kapu, Ontari, and Balija, in the twin cities.
It is reported that KCR responded positively and promised to fulfill their requests, but in return, he asked them to ensure that the 25 lakh Munnuru Kapu voters in Telangana support him.
Furthermore, it is suggested that KCR discussed the entire political scenario of Andhra Pradesh with the retired officials, seemingly on behalf of Jagan. He allegedly advised them against Janasena meeting with the TDP and encouraged them to pressure Pawan Kalyan to contest alone.
KCR reportedly expressed concern over Janasena gaining strength in the state and people wanting Pawan Kalyan to become the Chief Minister. The objective behind this advice was purportedly to split the Kapu votes in Andhra Pradesh and prevent their consolidation towards the TDP-Jana Sena alliance.
