Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao seems to be keen on maintaining good relations with MIM even though their numbers do not matter to him. The TRS Chief has agreed to leave two MLC seats being vacated by the MIM members to the party.

Though the TRS commands a majority in the electoral college of 141 members under Hyderabad Local Body constituency, it decided to leave the seat to the MIM as a goodwill gesture to their alliance partner. MIM which was once the alliance partner of Congress deserted the party after the state bifurcation.
Three MLC positions are falling vacant in MLAs quota and TRS will get two from this quota. The MLC elections in Telangana will be more or less peaceful as Telangana Rashtra Samiti will walk away with most number of seats as Opposition do not have the numbers.
