In the wake of High Court urging the Telangana Speaker to decide on the defections of 12 MLAs from TDP to TRS, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao is thinking on the lines to face the by-elections. The Chief Minister is confident of winning back these 12 seats and so want to disqualify them and go for a fresh mandate.

This will put an end to an unnecessary controversy which is plaguing for the last couple of years. However, the MLAs who may be facing the axe are worried about a fresh election and sudden expenditure. But KCR is of the opinion that this may push TDP on the other side to trouble as well. While TRS have to face by-elections in 12, TDP in Andhra Pradesh will have to face 20.
In a way, KCR will hit the arch-rival Chandrababu during the time of distress as well. KCR is of the opinion that by-elections will put Chandrababu Naidu in trouble and that would shame TDP in both the states. If the Chief Minister takes a final decision on this, Speaker Madhusudhanachari will be cracking the whip very soon.
