It may not be possible for Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao to attend the Friday midnight launch of the Goods and Services Tax at Parliament Central Hall as scheduled by the Centre government on the midnight of June 30-July 1.

The Chief Minister who has been camping in Delhi since June 17 will undergo cataract surgery on his right eye on June 29th. KCR has been advised by doctors at a private eye hospital to take medicines and eye drops before undergoing surgery.
There were reports that the surgery was already done but family sources say it will happen on 29th. In such case, he will be skipping the GST launch event. Already the Opposition had announced skipping the event which will mark the biggest reform in Indian Economy since the Independence.
