These villages were added to AP after the 2014 elections. These villages will get submerged due to Polavaram Project and so as to ensure that the project is not delayed if the villages is under a non-cooperating Telangana government. BJP government got these villages to AP by issuing an ordinance.
This statement may be aimed at the upcoming Khammam corporation elections which will happen in March. However these statement will also have political implications in Andhra Pradesh as well as KCR mentioned that Chandrababu also agreed to shifting back the villages back to Telangana. Polavaram Project is treated as the lifeline for Andhra Pradesh.
