KCR’s Smart Move In Khammam

Narsaiah Daughter as BRS Candidate KhammamBRS appears politically too weak to contest in Khammam and Nalgonda districts. Even during the 2018 general elections, the Congress and TDP alliance secured victories in all segments of Khammam district, except for Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar who won from the Khammam Assembly segment.

This time, KCR is leaving no stone unturned in his efforts to secure maximum segments in the district. According to sources, BRS intends to nominate Gummadi Narsaiah’s daughter, Gummadi Anuradha, for the Illandu Assembly segment.

Gummadi Narsaiah himself contested from the Illandu constituency of Khammam district eight times, serving as an MLA five times in 1983, 1985, 1989, 1999, and 2004. He maintained a reputation for leading a simple and unproblematic political career, actively engaging with the public throughout his term.

Narsaiah’s daughter, Dr. Gummadi Anuradha, is now stepping into politics, according to reliable sources. In Illandu Constituency’s Bayyaram and Illandu Mandal, numerous Anuradha Flexi advertisements have appeared.

Presently, Anuradha serves as the principal of Osmania University’s PG Law College. Notably, she holds the distinction of being the first Adivasi female professor in OU’s history to serve as a principal.

Anuradha pursued her PG and Law degrees at the same university and later joined the OU Law Department as an Assistant Professor. As part of the alliance strategy, KCR is considering nominating Anuradha to represent the CPML if she doesn’t align herself with BRS.
