Former Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy had shut shop. Kiran floated Jai Samayikya Andhra party after the state division differing with Congress high command. KKR struggled even to field candidates in at least half of the constituencies and could not even manage one MLA seat. Kiran stayed away from contest to campaign across the state. His brother Kishore contested in Kiran’s seat but lost.

The party did not held any review meetings after the defeat and Kiran did not come in to public after elections. It is said that the party office in Madhapur, Hyderabad is already vacated. In the last week, all the furniture of the party was shifted in pitch dark and the party posters and banners on the building were removed silently. It is said that they are vacating the building. Even prominent leaders of JSP did not have prior notice of vacating the building. There are rumours all over that Kiran may be joining BJP very soon.
